Our Theme for 2024

At Arura there are two talk sessions per day. The first is with your Area group in the morning, and the second is when the whole camp is together. Read on to find out more about the talks planned for this year.

'Eternity in Our Hearts' - Living for God's Eternal Kingdom

Area Times (every morning)

Did you know that you were made to live for eternity?

God tells us in his word that He has, “set eternity in the human heart” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). He wants you to know that life is not about living for the moment, or living as if this life is all there is.

God wants you to know that there is something more! There is a world beyond this world, a Heavenly Kingdom that will never fade or die, and that living for this Kingdom, for God's Kingdom, is the richest and best life you can possibly live.

As we listen to the Word of God being taught in our morning area time, we'll learn more about the eternal hope every follower of Jesus can enjoy, and we'll learn how that hope should radically impact the choices we make here and now.

'Jesus In His Own Words - The I AM Statements in John's Gospel

Evening Celebration (every evening)

Who do you think Jesus is?

This question really matters because Jesus makes some really massive claims about His identity.

For example, in John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Do you see how massive that claim is? Jesus is saying that He is the ONLY way for anyone to know God the Father, or to enter into God's eternal Kingdom. That means that without Jesus NO ONE can have eternal life!

So the question 'who do you think Jesus is?' is a really important one, isn't it?

To help us answer this question, we'll look at an eyewitness account of Jesus' life, called John's Gospel. As we look at this account we'll hear what Jesus has to say about Himself, we'll see that He helps us make sense of life in a broken world, and that following Him brings joy, hope and life to the full.

I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
— Jesus Christ
