Where do we sleep?
It’s a common question… But a more important question is, what will you sleep on?
Ever fallen asleep during class?
No-one will tell you off if that happens at Arura!
Arura is held in schools, and this year we will be staying in Ballymena Academy. Tables and chairs are cleared away, and this gives us space to turn the rooms into bedrooms!
The number of people in a classroom will depend on the size of the room, but there is normally between 6 and 10 people per class.
But what do we sleep on?
Everyone is asked to bring the following items to camp:
Sleeping bag & pillow
Camp Bed
There are a variety of different types of camp bed that you could bring - see below. You may have one like this at home, or can borrow one from a friend? You’ll be sleeping on it for a week, so make sure it is comfortable!
We will have air pumps at camp for anyone who requires one.
Folding Camp Bed
Inflatable Airbed
Self-Inflating Roll Mat
Need to buy one?
You can find camping beds or airbeds in many sports shops, and even supermarkets. You do not need to spend lots of money on a bed, and a basic one will cost between £10-£20.
We don’t recommend any particular brand or type, but here are two sports shops where you can search for one.
